Has anyone pushed back on the amount of ABA hours recommended?

My son is 4 years old and is in a structured autism preschool program from 9 AM - 2 PM everyday and is also receiving OT and ST 2x/week. We are trying to get him back into ABA therapy, but they are recommending 20 hours a week and for someone to be at our home with him 5x/week from 3 PM - 7 PM Monday through Friday.

I have concerns about therapy burnout for him as well as the financial burden of co-pays with this much therapy. Has anyone pushed to have their child's ABA schedule adjusted? I want to do everything I can to help him but I also want to be realistic about what's sustainable for our family.

We’re feeling at a loss and don’t know what to do

My son is 4 year old and in a special education preschool program through the school district. His teacher is constantly updating us on his challenging behavior (hitting, biting sensory sensitivity to loud noises, not participating in class activities and just overall aggression and irritability). We currently have him OT and ST privately and through the school district and are on a waitlist for ABA services.

I don’t know what else to do. His teacher is constantly commenting on his challenging behavior, and we don’t know how else to help him. but it feels like the teacher in the school, cannot handle him.
