It sounds pretty ironclad that the Fathom will have a NACS charging port. Cool cool cool.

I’ve never owned an EV (currently in a Maverick) and had an electrician out today to quote me on a level 2 charger install ($850 parts and labor, minus the charger itself).

The question now is which actual charger to get. I can get 48a service no problem, the panel is on the other side of the exterior brick wall I want to mount the charger to, right along my driveway.

The first two that caught my attention were the Chargepoint home flex and the Tesla wall connector, but I’ll be the first to admit I’m spitballing. All things being equal, I think Musk is a POS and I’d rather not even tangentially give Tesla money.

Any recommendations on a charger? I won’t actually buy it and install until the fathom preorders go up but I like to be thorough.

Fun additional note: I put a 10kw solar system on my house a few years ago, so I’m not concerned with smart home monitoring systems tied into this - I already have that with existing hardware and software.
