Heart rate sensor problems
Hey there
I have a Suunto Race S, and from time to time I experience problems with heart rate data during activities.
For most activities, I wear a chest heart rate sensor, and everything works fine. But when I start a walking activity, the heart rate reading from the watch is sometimes accurate and sometimes significantly overestimated. It seems like the displayed heart rate is simply about 2× higher than the actual value.
The issue occurs specifically during walking, or at least that is when I notice it. It appears randomly. A soft reset does not help, and the most recent firmware update did not fix it either. I would prefer not to perform a hard reset, to be honest.
I would like to know whether anyone else has experienced similar problems and, if so, whether you were able to solve them.
Here is an example from today's walking activity. Starts good, but then something happened.
P.S. My wife has the same watch, but she does not have this issue.
