Hi,

I’m 28M and currently in the middle of a 3 month relationship break from my girlfriend of nearly 7 years, who I actually met on Reddit. The relationship has given me the most wonderful experiences of my life as well as some of the most painful. I have been seeing a psychologist, which has been going well, and I do think I have more insight. But I feel so lost and alone. Our relationship was somewhat codependent and I know it’s important that I try to use this time to build my own life. It’s a struggle though, and I’ve been lacking motivation. Finding and maintaining a romantic relationship has been the most important thing in my life since I was a teenager.

I’m hoping to talk to anyone who is going through or has gone through a relationship break, breakup, romantic rejection or any other difficult situations in love/dating/relationships. Or anyone who relates to anything I’ve said.
