Has the renters' rights law transformed my 1 month notice into 2 months if I want to move?
My original contract only requires me to give 1 month of notice to the landlord if I need to move. I noticed the renters' rights law says that now gets automatically transformed into a 2-month notice period for either part, so I assumed I now need to give a longer notice period. What confuses me here is that the same law also says the contract is rolling on a monthly basis, so which one is it? If the contract is rolling monthly, then I would assume I can just say, hey, stop the contract now and it is not in place for next month anymore.
