I would love a command mode style of play in base game. Maybe if we had a certain level of colonization it could be unlocked for a late game unlock for the sector. It would be sick to unlock the capacity to manage dozens of machines in concert to terraform faster or command skirmishes.
Klang may have some words to say against running ai + voxel destruction + other moving grids etc, but I’m sharing the optimism the devs seem to have because the potential ceiling on this games hype is considerably high. Is it too far from the games vision to disembody the character’s perspective like that? Can Space Engineers be the spiritual successor to Brütal Legend after all?
