Cat behavior

I think my cat was in some kind of fight this morning. My mom found him with a lot of blood on his face, but after cleaning him she couldn’t find any visible wounds. He ate afterward and then went to sleep.

A few hours later I noticed he was drooling and I thought his breathing looked weird, so I took him to the vet immediately. The vet checked him thoroughly and said he doesn’t show signs of intoxication, neurological issues, or obvious injuries. His pupils reacted normally, he wasn’t drooling anymore at the clinic, and he didn’t react painfully when touched anywhere. The vet said he seems okay and that he doesn’t appear to have wounds.

Now that we’re back home, he’s very quiet and sleepy. He barely moves unless I call him, but he did walk over to me and is currently sleeping on me. I also noticed he seems to gulp/swallow more than usual.

Can a cat act exhausted or strange for hours after a cat fight even without visible injuries? I’m wondering if this can just be stress/adrenaline wearing off or if I should still be worried despite the vet visit.
