How to Render videos Faster On Linux Mint?
Hello. I switched to Linux a while ago and have been finding great Linux alternatives to software I used to use on Windows.
I like to make YouTube Videos discussing anime and other things as a hobby. Kdenlive is the only Linux Alternative to the video editing software I used before that works really well and is easy to get used to (My old video editing Software was Filmora 9). There is still one major problem I have with it though. Rendering videos takes forever. I have an NVIDIA graphics card (RTX 4060Ti) and on windows Filmora had a checkbox that would enable GPU accelerated rendering. I would be able to render a half hour long video in 10 or 15 min.
However when I made a test video on Kdenlive I did not see an option for this and the rendering estimation said 1 hour for a ten min video ( I wanted it rendered as an Mp4 at 1080p 30fps, I used effects I commonly used in YouTube videos I made with Filmora such as croping, zooming and Chroma Key/Green Screening). Since I sometime make longer videos and use more effects this makes me worry about the length of time this will take for bigger videos.
TLDR: Is there a way to enable enable GPU acceleration in KdenLive on Linux Mint or just any advice you can give me to speed up the Rendering?
