Been working on a fun little Gaussian Splat example game in our engine
I created a Gaussian Splat library for our platform/engine "S&box", and wanted to make a little game to demo gaussian splats and what is possible with them in our engine.
The enemy are made from gaussian splats are are semi-visible when outside of a visibility zone and are completely visible when inside of one. They spray blood on death, which paints the environment red and gives the player more Paint which they can use to uncover more of the map's visibility.
Taking damage or killing an enemy will also reveal a small portion of the surrounding area temporarily with low visibility. Hinting as to what the surrounding area looks like even if it's uncovered :)

PS: Ignore me falling through the floor at the end, splat collisions still need some work 😅
