Shout out to Stonemaier customer service

I got Wingspan Pocket and love it, but when I showed it to some of my relatives they creased the heck out of two cards (Superb Lyrebird and Helmeted Guineafowl). I was bummed, I'm normally a sleever and like my games pristine. I figured it's a $20 game, I could just buy it again someday, but I took a shot with Stonemaier and their replacement parts form.

Even though it was purely user error that crinkled the cards, they sent me replacements for free, no questions asked, and they got here super fast. I'm really impressed! The company is definitely going on my good list from now on lol. Figured I would post to share the love, this kind of service is increasingly rare in this industry so I wanted to give them their flowers publicly.

Should I Re-buy Robinson Crusoe?

I recently ordered Robinson Crusoe after hearing all of the raves about it. I know it's hard and heavy but I'm looking for a good challenge (also, I just started watching Alone with my wife so I'm definitely in the mood for a lone survivor theme). Unfortunately, when the game arrived, the deck of small cards was in Polish, not English, meaning I can't play it. I only realized this after sleeving all 220 of the larger cards and most of the small ones, much to my dismay.

I wrote to Portal Games but they basically said tough luck, they're not sending out any replacements. I sent it back to Amazon and will hopefully get a refund, but the experience has kind of soured me on the game (unsleeving hundreds of cards after an unhelpful customer service interaction will do that to you).

I guess my question is, besides venting, should I get the game again? Is it worth all the hype? I'm pretty put off by the experience, but I'll have 50 bucks in my Amazon account that was bookmarked for a board game and nothing else super appealing available at the moment. I'm considering Heat, but that's a larger investment and a different vibe than what I was looking for. Is Robinson Crusoe going to be worth all this hassle? Or should I save that $50 for something new?
