Help me understand the new laser treatment I received? No pain, only heat sensation.
I hadn’t done a laser session in over a year. A new med spa opened near me with great reviews and I wanted to try their facility. The technician, a LPN, was very knowledgeable, but rambled off so much info that it was hard to keep up. It almost felt like a sales pitch. She talked so much about testosterone and PCOS and from what I recall their particular machine focuses on killing the hormone. She stated she even has clients as young as eleven receiving laser hair removal due to over production of testosterone.
I was surprised when we started the session and there was no zapping or pain whatsoever. She didn’t use any gel over the skin and I could only feel a heating sensation. I’ve done waxing, electrolysis, & laser (in order), laser hurting by far the worse. I was actually looking forward to the zapping feeling. In my mind, the treatment felt ineffective because there was no pain and over in less than 6 mins, no exaggeration ($75)
The machine used is a Cutera Xeo. Can anyone tell me if I’d be wasting money continuing with this facility? They’re about $20 more than the place I previously frequented, but after 4 sessions the price will drop to $5 less than I was paying at other facility.
