Does redoing FAR SIMs actually add value if I already know the answers?

I’m currently studying for a FAR retake and I’m struggling with redoing TBS. Every time I redo a SIM that I got wrong before or after watching the explanation video it feels a bit (unreal). Since I already know the final answer or the specific trick, I feel like I’m just going through the motions.
For those who have passed, does redoing the same SIMs over and over actually add value, or am I just memorizing the solution instead of the concept?

Best MCQ settings for a FAR retake? (Adaptive vs. Random vs. Incorrect)

Using becker, what is the most efficient method to choose? Should I let the adaptive software guide me, or just spam cumulative random sets?

Appreciate any advice on what worked for you!

FAR Retake Strategy; Can I skip SIMs and just grind MCQs to fix my conceptual gaps?

I’m currently prepping for my FAR retake and running into a serious time crunch. I need some honest advice on my study strategy.

On my last attempt, I felt like I knew how to physically navigate and solve the SIMs—the actual format and structure wasn't the issue. However, I struggled because my core understanding of the concepts wasn't rock-solid. The ideas just weren't "steady" enough.

Because I'm short on time, my plan for this retake is to completely avoid practicing SIMs and instead solve as many MCQs as possible. My logic is that drilling MCQs will help me fix and solidify the core accounting rules much faster. Once the concepts are locked down, I feel like I can handle the SIMs on exam day.
