This website is awful. It's a useful aggregation for porn, at least. Everything else is just fuckin awful.

The people here are dumb. Redditors are terrible. They think they know shit but they don't. They want to pretend and virtue signal and all this shit but they haven't done an ounce of work in real life to actually make themselves into valuable people.

I don't even do politics on here anymore. I cut that out and made a whole new account, years ago. No I'm not evading any bans.

Why is this website so awful? Theoretically it should be like anywhere else, right? No, it's not. Whole case studies could be had on the effects this website has on human psychology. In real life you can have nuanced discussions, and if someone is acting fuckin weird, you just stop talking to them. Here? Everyone is that fuckin weird guy. Everyone wants to talk semantics. Everyone wants to talk definitions and tiniest of little fine print.

The other day I saw a dude post about his girlfriend read his journal and was using it against him. I wrote a big thing in response to him very supportive and everything and one of the things I said in my response was that "you should not write any more journal entries about her until you can find your own residence" and literally I had like 4 people jumping down my throat saying "what you have a problem with a man journaling?" Wtf? No? That's not what I said?

Also, the amount of people I see who use the phrase "reading comprehension" like you'll respond to someone and they'll be like "your reading comprehension is lacking 🤓" like shut the fuck up dude 🙄

Everyone thinks they're the main character but they're simultaneously too socially stunted and unintelligent to see that they're all like crabs in a bucket with a reddit logo on the side. Get off this godforsaken website and do something with your lives. Please. Your future self will thank you.

Everyone is sleeping at home so I'm gonna go full review mode here.

1: thermals and performance. This thing handles heat like a monster. It has a fan. A fucking fan. It makes a little car revving sound when it kicks on. It's so sick. Also, this phone probably benchmarks against my gaming PC lol. I played CODM (just to stress test, I'm not a loser I swear 😏) for like 2 hours and it barely got hot. Frames never dropped that I could perceive. Silky smooth, max graphics, absolutely crazy. I'd probably have to emulate a PS3 or something before this thing will lag.

Battery. I went from around 80% to around 60% during that gaming session. Wild. My ROG would've burned a lot of the battery and been hot as hell the whole time.
Ergonomics. It feels better in the hand than my ROG does. The ROG is a fking brick, this one feels like a phone. It's so smooth all over. Air Triggers somehow feel better on this phone, I can't explain it. Something about it just seems to fit better in my hand.
Software. Aight I'll be honest it sucks. I'm spoiled coming from the ROG, I don't think this would bother a normal person, but I can pretty clearly tell that the ROG software is a carefully curated and integrated system that all just works together, whereas in this phone all the fancy features are just dropped into the system settings with a note that says "I dare you to come find me". Also some pretty basic things (like organizing the app tray) are simply missing from the OS.
Misc. The speakers are surprisingly terrible tbh. Like, really cheap. They get really loud but they sound like shit. Just being honest. My other $200 moto has better sound quality. No 5mm jack, I missed that when I ordered it. No water resistance to speak of (it's got an open air fan for gods sake). The vibrate also doesn't feel as clean as my ROG.

Overall I am quite happy with the purchase but I understand now why the ASUS ROG line is more popular than the REDMAGIC line. The ROG phones are curated, polished, dare I say sophisticated gaming phones for use as a daily driver, whereas the REDMAGIC phones are more like crazy cutting edge high performance gaming systems with very rough edges and no handholding.

If you want a really cool, really nice daily driver phone that's capable of some really cool gaming, get a ROG. If you want a handheld gaming supercomputer that also happens to have a SIM slot, get the Redmagic lol.
