I’ve been rewatching Heroes, and a question been bothering me so much… Why would Peter feel so self-important to run towards meeting Ted and even dragging Claire into danger at the same time… It is such an annoying character flaw… and I know that he is arrogant from the beginning that he needs to save everyone, but this action feels so stupid… Were the writers already giving up quality here?

If they would had made an accidental meeting with Ted on the subway… that I could believe…
