If the eclipse subdued everyone's powers, how did Hiro stop the arrows in Season 2?
Not sure if anyone's answered this question but how did Hiro manage to stop time then teleport Takezo Kensei away during the eclipse?

Heroes being now on Netflix in my country I’m on a beloved rewatch after 15 years and i notice some weird stuff about time travelling and the post apocalyptic timeline so far. How is future!Mohinder Suresh remembering his past discussion with Peter Petrelli 5 years in the past about seeing Hiro if Future!Hiro has not went into the past yet to warn them and was almost surprised when canon Hiro says he did and it worked did I missed something ? I’m so confused
… straight up leave Caitlin in the apocalypse!?
There was no point in her coming with him to Montreal, other than she was in the painting. She did nothing, served no purpose, and now will never return to her correct timeline or quaint little bar in Ireland ever again💔
I’m rewatching Heroes as an adult and just finished Season 3. For context, I first watched the show when I was 15, and now I’m 24. I definitely understand a lot of the themes and characters better than I did back then.
Overall, it’s still an enjoyable watch. Nothing will ever top Season 1 for me, though. I think Heroes was a really good show for its time. One thing that usually annoys me in superhero shows (looking at The Flash) is when every side character eventually gets powers. Heroes actually handles this really well because the new abilities feel relevant to the story instead of being thrown in just because. I especially liked how they gave both Ando and Mohinder powers without it feeling forced.
Now for my complaints.
I hate how the show keeps trying to convince me that characters like Noah and Nathan are redeemable. They make the same mistakes every single season and end up causing so many of the problems everyone else has to deal with. It also feels like the writers really want us to believe Peter should just forgive Nathan because he’s family. Sure, Nathan did the right thing in the end, but he was still a selfish, power-hungry person for most of the series, and countless people died because of his ambition. One good decision at the end doesn’t erase everything that came before it.
Another thing that annoyed me was Hiro. I understand why people love him, but he treats Ando terribly. The amount of times Ando has saved Hiro, only to be talked down to, ordered around, or treated like a useless sidekick, drove me crazy. By this point Ando has proven himself over and over again, yet Hiro almost never treats him like an equal.
I also hate how inconsistent Hiro’s powers are. I get that his abilities are insanely overpowered, so the writers had to find ways to limit him, but it gets ridiculous. He’s constantly losing his powers or being unable to use them whenever the plot demands it. Future Hiro had been using his abilities for years without issue, but now I’m supposed to believe they’re suddenly killing him?
Lastly, it never stops amazing me how unbelievably dumb some of these characters are. You finally beat Sylar… congratulations! You’d think this would be the moment they finally kill the serial killer who has been terrorizing them for three seasons, right? Nope. Instead, they decide to use the psychopathic murderer as a replacement for Nathan—who, honestly, didn’t deserve to come back in the first place. I haven’t even started Season 4 yet, but I’d bet my life Sylar somehow returns anyway.
Anyway, I just needed to vent because this show frustrates me constantly, and I honestly have a lot more complaints than this. Despite all that, I still think Heroes is a fun watch and I’m enjoying revisiting it.
**SPOILERS****So I’m on my third rewatch or so but only for the first part of it (I was pissed that they killed off Nathan and never finished 🥲). I’m just starting season 2 and wanted to share my thoughts and opinions:
•Season 1 is always a hit! Fav storylines: Claire, Peter/ Nathan Petrelli, Matt Parkman, Hiro/Ando. Syler is a the worst villain in the best way. Although at a certain point I got frustrated that they kept letting opportunities to kill him go!! Specifically referring to when Shuresh found out he was syler and drugged him so couldn’t use his powers… should have killed him asap 😭they all knew how dangerous he was! And when he knocked him out with that desk to save Peter. Like he’s unconscious put a bullet in his head call it a day!! Another time when Syler was at his moms house and Hiro freezed time to try and stab him.. he was taking his sweet time imo😭 ORRR when Claire’s dad literally had him locked up and powerless for like forever?? And didn’t kill him cuz “it wasn’t the order”🙄 dude was THIS🤏 CLOSE to eating ur daughter’s brain or whatever like make an exception!! Ugh
•loved Isaac but wdym he accidentally shot and killed Simone his long term girlfriend?? That was so tragic and unnecessary and they kinda brushed it off
•speaking of tragic, the hiro and Charlie storyline breaks my heart )): they were literally supposed to be endgame
• Nikki/ Jessica is probably the least interesting storyline to me🤷♀️ love micah tho
•just starting season 2 where they introduce maya and Alejandro the brother/sister duo, I think i remember not really being interested in their storyline either 😅 or when hiro is in the past with Kensai the sword master or whatever. Just don’t think it contributed much
Thanks for coming to my ted talk lol
I’ve been rewatching Heroes, and a question been bothering me so much… Why would Peter feel so self-important to run towards meeting Ted and even dragging Claire into danger at the same time… It is such an annoying character flaw… and I know that he is arrogant from the beginning that he needs to save everyone, but this action feels so stupid… Were the writers already giving up quality here?
If they would had made an accidental meeting with Ted on the subway… that I could believe…
Sorry, rant over🥲
I love the way Hiro is entirely understandable, in s4e12, provided you've read your Quixote, and recall all of your Star Wars, BSG, and Star Trek lore, and even a bit of Highlander! Excellent!!
Ni and Nia... ...
I feel like Sylar could've been the Thanos in HEROS, it would've been cool if his final power was able to destroy the universe if not that something bigger and the HEROS come together and face him lol.
I have no one to talk to about this. Mine is oddly enough Nathan. He's a terribly selfish person don't get me wrong but he's kinda endearing. And I really liked his relationship with Claire. Into Asylum was such a great episode when she told him he was more amazing than she ever imagined her bio dad would be. But she was disappointed he wouldn't even try to fix his mistakes. Right in the feels. Too bad he freaking died a few episodes later. Claire was in the freaking hotel!! She could've donated her blood!! Ugh I'm still not over it after all these years.
Also Nathan's interactions with Hiro in the first season always makes me laugh. Hiro's excited optimism is so jarring next to Nathan's jaded realism
I know it was the two thousands but Jesus Christ surely there was a better way to say that Japanese society isn’t as individualistic as American.
Heroes as a franchise would've been more successful if it was made after 2020. HBO Max. Tight 10 episodes per season. 1 season a year. Peter, Nathan, Claire, Hiro, Ando, Mohinder, Niki, Micah, HRG, Matt. 4 proper seasons. Oh how I wish
Hi, I'm making this post because I've noticed many people on the subreddit are confused about certain details of the series. And since I've seen all the existing material from the Heroes universe...
I'm open to answering any questions you may have about both series and any extra material related to them, such as the video games and graphic novels.
If anyone is watching the show now, spoiler alert.

So the show isn’t spoiled in the subreddit. So I am rewatching heroes, but after the first episode, I suddenly noticed the thoughts and theories I once knew were wrong. While I barely remember the show except a couple heroes and Ando.
I suddenly realized, Claire’s dad is not trying to intentionally hurt any of the heroes, unless he understands a deviation. When he speaks with Claire at the end of episode one, he is actively trying to encourage her to not find her adoptive parents. It was subtle, but I never realized it before. I recall when more of her family learn of her skill, he is using techniques with the Haitian to protect her.
When I first watched, I really struggled to understand why the Haitian would “work for” her father. I was certain he was the big bad monster who wants to eliminate all heroes. The. I thought his actions were to prevent Silas from becoming powerful and acquiring more powers.
I am excited to watch the show again. I am curious to see what our Antihero Noah Bennet.
I've been watching the series on Tubi, and halfway through season 4, still cannot find the scene where Ando and Hiro fight off a man in the NY city subway, and Ando puts a metal trash can over the guy's head and either he or Hiro kicks the guy, finally knocking him out, and then take triumphant photos as the police arrive. I distinctly recall and was looking forward to seeing this scene again, but it's not in the Tubi edition, and every search I do seems to think that this never happened in the series, but I know I saw it back around 2007. Does anyone know what happened to the scene, and in which episode it appeared? I had thought it was in the first episode, but the Netflix version also lacks the scene.
