Queue for car park so long today that we gave up and drove home....

So it takes about 45 mins to get to Chessington from where we are and I thought it would be quiet as it's a Friday (my daughter had an inset day today) but oh no! Soon as we got off the M25 the sat nav was showing another 35 mins when it should be only about 5. We sat in traffic for about 10 mins but the arrival time kept getting later and later so we reluctantly turned around and went home.

The traffic to get in the park is so bad down this road, even on a good day it seems to add another 20 mins onto the journey. Once we're in the park, the ride queues aren't so bad. It's the journey that puts me off going.

I can't understand why as Legoland and Thorpe park have similar looking roads to get in and I always drive straight in, no problem.

Anyone else frustrated by this and what do you do to avoid it? What can Chessington even do about it?

The only time I got straight in was when it was pouring with rain on an off-peak Sunday- was best day ever! Going later doesn't seem to help and if I aim for 915am arrival, I still seem to get stuck.

It must drive the poor locals nuts!

Dragon Age Veilguard combat way too hard for me- time to give up?

So I've always loved gaming and mostly just played quite old-style adventure games like Monkey Island or Myst before discovering my first 'modern' game, Baldurs Gate 3 last year which I became OBSESSED with. I searched for something similar and tried Dragon Age Veilguard because Bioware games are recommended quite a lot in this sub and I wanted the romance side of things.

Thing is...I do like it but I'm really struggling with the combat to the point I think I'm going to have to give up. I don't particularly like combat so I chose a mage so I could just stand far away from the action and kill things but instead all the enemies keep running right up to me and I'm spending the whole time (trying and failing) to run away and dying.

I've recruited all the companions so I think I'm maybe nearly through act 1? I'm not sure. Any idea what I can do? It's already on the easiest setting and I'm not sure I can be bothered to start over and choose a different class!

UPDATE: okay so I've used some of the tips you guys gave (using taunt, fighting instead of running etc) and I've just defeated one of the champions, yay! Thank you everyone....there is hope for me yet in this game!
