Only one survived- advice needed
I ordered a few more babies to add to my flock but when they arrived yesterday only this little nugget survived the trip (I’m assuming due to the cold snap). I have replacements coming but it’s sounding like it could be 2 weeks before they’re here. I’m worried about this baby being alone that long. I’m giving her a lot of love and attention as you can see but is there anything else we should be doing for her? Should I try to find other chicks locally instead of waiting? Are there things I should add to her brooder to help her feel less alone when she’s in there? I have 5 adult hens but I’m nervous about putting her with them when she’s so little and they haven’t been exposed to chicks before. Any ideas welcome!
