Biopsy Day 23F

Welp T-3 hours until my biopsy appointment. My boyfriend decided just an hour ago to schedule a doctor’s appointment today as well so he’s going to drop be off, go to his appointment / get his blood drawn, and come pick me up again. He’s terrified of needles so I do find it comforting we’ll both probably be frazzled the rest of the day lol.

Dreading the wait for results. I think my anxiety is making me imagine pains in my breast and now in my arms, calves, jaw, teeth, chest, and back. I’m hoping at least that will go away soon.

Anyways to anyone else soon to get their biopsy, we’re all in this together! We are strong and we will make it through it. Hoping for a smooth procedure and good news for us all

Update: Wasn’t bad at all! Worst part was the numbing at the start it hurt a bit less than what a normal vaccine hurts like. They talked to me the whole time and let me listen to music. They also advised me not to look at the needles and instead just watch the ultrasound video. Honestly I thought the video was so cool/interesting it definitely distracted me from the procedure lol.

Now for the wait 😅

What could make the vaginal canal longer? (Cervix deeper inside)

I am a woman (23F) and I had an IUD inserted 4 years ago. It recently moved out of place so I just had my old one removed / replaced (so painful 😵‍💫). While the practitioner was trying to find my cervix at the start she was really having to shove her fingers up in there and remarked at how much cervix was quite far back. This did not happen the first time I got my IUD so I am wondering out of curiosity what could have caused it? The two practitioners who put my iuds in didn’t seem much different in terms of finger length lol.

My guesses are cycle differences, hormone changes, and potentially the fact my long term boyfriend of 2 years has a long penis. I do notice that if we haven’t had sex recently my insides feel “shorter” and when we start having sex he tends to hit the end easily until I get used to it again.

If anyone has any insight or similar experiences please I’d love to hear as I battle my iud cramping!

Waited 2 years to get it checked out. Regret

I am 23F, recently graduated from university after 5 years. I am in Texas but my family and I are from NY. They have been on Medicare which covered them in state but since I was in Texas their insurance didn’t cover me.

I attended college on a need based scholarship which covered health insurance for my time there except my final year. Unfortunately the school insurance was really bad and any specialist doctor’s visit ran me $500+ of money I didn’t really have.

When this lump showed up I was going through a terribly stressful time. Leaving a bad relationship while finishing my engineering degree. I was just focused on surviving and ignored it. It was noticeable to the touch, hard, but movable and felt circular. Combined with my age I thought it’d be a safe bet to wait to get it checked out until a better time.

Now it’s been two years and a half years. I just started my new job a month ago. Finally have health insurance, good health insurance even, and I’m incredibly grateful but now all I can think about is this lump, if it’s benign or not, and if these two years have doomed me to something I had the capability of stopping early.

I haven’t noticed the lump grow, but if I had to bet it’s probably a little bigger now than it was when I first found it. Hurts around my period. I got an ultrasound - 4.4 cm, lobulated, hypoechoic, with slight vascularity. Radiologist was concerned about the size and gave me BIRADS-4. Now I’m waiting for my reports to be sent to the biopsy center and praying I can get my biopsy scheduled for next week.

This limbo sucks. Just waiting. Nothing I can do about it but touch the lump or try to forget it is there and focus on my work. I’m just hoping everything ends up ok. Everyone I speak to seems so remorseful that I’m so young and worried about this stuff right now. I wanted to start my new life and job, finally having made it out of the low income survival mode I grew up in and worked hard to get out of but this is all I can worry about. If all the years I spent working were for nothing if this kills me or who knows what.

Sorry for the rant. I hope everyone is doing alright and has good news in their future.
