HELP: baby deer critically injured 😢

Hi if anyone has time to help or check I would be grateful! I was driving on the highway, on Route 23 South just as it goes into I-80 / I-278E when we saw this woman going 70mph hit a baby deer. The mother escaped the highway by running forwards but the baby deer panicked and tried going back to get away so he’s now separated from the mom and very badly injured. He flew a good amount of distance and that woman didn’t stop at all. I texted the situation to a wildlife rehabilitation team but I have no idea what their response time is and like I mentioned the baby deer needs urgent medical care. 😢

[Marketing] Heritage Mandarin & Cultural Engagement at Home [2 mins] (Parents of kids ages 5–13 raising bilingual/heritage Mandarin speakers)

Target Demographic: Diaspora parents raising bilingual/heritage Mandarin speakers (kids ages 5–13).

Completion Time: ~2 minutes

Survey Link: (Link dropped in the first comment below!)

Hi everyone! I’m an indie founder/creator working on a story-driven web RPG inspired by Chinese folklore.

Growing up in a heritage household myself, I remember the classic weekend Chinese school battle vividly. In our early research with diaspora families, we keep hearing the same daily friction: kids hear basic Mandarin at home, but getting them to voluntarily speak, read, or engage with the language feels like an uphill battle—especially when competing against Roblox or YouTube.

We’re designing an interactive game where kids navigate folklore mystery puzzles using their spoken comprehension—making Mandarin feel like an immersive world rather than extra homework.

Why we need your input:

Before our engineering team writes core production code, we want to make sure our narrative design solves real home friction rather than relying on assumptions.

🎁 Free Incentive:

As a thank-you for completing the 2-minute screener, the confirmation page unlocks The Bright Moon Cultural Guide—a free, curated matrix of non-boring native C-dramas, animated shows (donghua), and story tools sorted by language level to help keep kids engaged with their culture.

Thank you for helping us shape a better heritage language experience for the next generation!

Building a story-driven game for heritage kids—what's the biggest friction point in your house when trying to keep Mandarin alive?

Hey everyone! I’m a founder/creator building a story-driven web RPG inspired by Chinese folklore.

Growing up in a heritage family myself, I experienced the classic weekend Chinese school battle firsthand. Now, in our early research with diaspora parents, we keep hearing the same thing: kids hear basic Mandarin at home, but getting them to actively engage, speak, or explore the language voluntarily feels like an uphill battle—especially when competing against Roblox or YouTube.

We’re designing an interactive story game where kids navigate folklore mystery puzzles using their spoken comprehension—making Chinese feel like an immersive world rather than extra homework.

Before our team writes production code, I want to make sure we're listening to real family dynamics:

For heritage parents: What usually happens in your household when you try to get your child to engage with Mandarin learning materials or activities? Where does the frustration hit hardest?

(Note: I'm not selling anything! If you have 2 minutes to help shape our research screener, I put together a free curated guide of non-boring native C-dramas and animated shows on the confirmation page as a thank-you. Link is in the comments below!)
