Don't know how necessary it was but I'm pretty proud of myself I most say so.
If you guys wanna do it too, just be sure to spray some air into some PCV drilled holes you'll find either at the top right or top left of the intake port, some media gets blown past there, shouldn't be anything worrisome even then

100K miles Bmw g30 540i b58 maintenance

I was doing Oil filter housing since it failed, ended up doing heat management module, coolant flange and turbocharger aux pump just in case, walnut blasted the intake valves, did the mechanical water pump, the Main engine to radiator hoses and all good there.... finally think you're done? All the hoses that I disconnected were leaking pressure when testing the car bone dry.
All the new hoses? Working as intended.
Ended up ordering all the hoses just in case.
Is this normal? Like, wow

Surface prep

I have used brake cleaner on a rag and a plastic scraper to clean what I could.
How does this surface look like for my oil filter housing?
Should I use a steel razor for further cleaning?
I'm afraid I might gouge the surface, it's my first time doing such a job

Underbody Metal shield

One of the bolts snapped when removing.
Trying to replace the OFH but now I'm stuck with this problem.
I tried using a Multispline and drilling a hole but due to user error, I was off center and of course, now IDK what to do.
Is this fixable?
What would happen if I miss one of the bolts here?
Is rethreading possible or do I need a new dub frame?
