Our New Mayor

I’ve been seeing a lot of discussion about free bus travel for young people, but here are a few more things Bev’s promised to deliver on transport for our area:

• Cheaper travel into work and town centres.

• Better connections and more reliable routes.

• Expanding Metrolink.

• Bringing trains into the Bee Network.

• A fully integrated public transport system for Greater Manchester.

Not sure about everyone else, but I get the sense she'll be continuing a lot of the policies Andy Burnham has championed, and I'm all for that. Greater Manchester has seen real progress under his leadership, and it makes sense to build on what's already working.

Free Bus travel for youngsters?

Bev’s plan to make bus travel free for young people will make a real difference for young people and families across Greater Manchester. This is what I had as a child and families with youngsters now should get the same benefit.

Dupliacting echos

Bear with me.
I have for a number of years linked an Amaxon Wall clock with my kitchen echo. Recently it refused to connect to the echo after a battery change. I discoved it would connevt to my ech show.
I have moved the echo show into the kitchen and I have my display timers running again.

Howevr its radom which echo picks up the commands. I know I can change the wake name to be diffrent, but idealy I would like the two devices to work in tandem so whichever echo picks up they both respond.
there is porbaly a work around. The speakers are conncetd so I can play the same music on both. soI should be bale to getthe commands answer from both too.

Anu ideas?

Thanks

CALLING ALL MAKERFIELD CONSTITUENTS - WHO’S GETTING YOUR VOTE TODAY?

Whatever your political views, please get out and vote today.

I've worked in this area for many years, and I genuinely believe this is one of the most important elections Wigan and Makerfield have faced in a long time. The decisions made today will affect our communities, local services, jobs, and future investment for years to come.

I've seen plenty of arguments for different candidates, including Reform, but for me Andy Burnham remains the strongest choice. He has a proven track record, understands the challenges our area faces, and I believe he's the person most likely to deliver real results for local people.

Polling stations are open from 7am until 10pm, so there's still plenty of time to have your say.

Find your polling station here: wheredoivote.co.uk

Whatever your choice, don't let others decide for you. Use your vote.

Can we allow either R party a say in Government

I saw today the pictures of Reform supporters claiming that voting for J Saville was better than voting labour. I assumed it was an AI generated image. Because nobody could be that insensitive and crass as to say that. I was very wrong the images were real and now we have. The second R party, encouraging voters on video saying the same. These people could be ruling us if we don’t take a stand.

Andy Promises to tackle crime on our high streets

Personally, this is something I’m always concerned about. It’s good to see someone finally speaking up with a real plan to make our high streets safe again
