Shower curb a tad short
Well disaster struck and I used a grinder wheel to cut down my curb and it did a terrible job. It had a slight wobble and I ended up needed to clean up the cuts which took off more than I wanted. I ended up cutting it a 1/4” short on both ends, while I was aiming for just under a 1/8” gap. I’ll be siliconing this in which can cover the gap and have enough elasticity to move with it, but worried that long term it will be problematic.
This curb will have a sliding glass door so the outer half of the curb won’t see much moisture.
This is a basement shower that will rarely be used. Maybe a few times a month.
A curb is $80 at Home Depot.
Any feedback on best next step? Send it or start with a new slab and template& recut on the tile saw this go around? If I recut, is 1/16” gap ideal?
