E7L 1 month review
I’ve been using the FlexiSpot E7L for about a month now, and overall I’m really happy with it.
Before this, I was using a Costco Tresanti Geller 47" standing desk.
When I was shopping, I was deciding mainly between the E7L and the E7 Plus. I went with the E7L because an L-shaped setup works better for me. I didn’t seriously consider the regular E7 or E7 Pro, since stability was one of my main priorities, especially in standing mode.
With my old Tresanti desk, wobble became more noticeable after I upgraded from a laptop to a larger display, so I wanted something more solid.
For my needs, the E7L has been great. In the sitting position, there is no wobble at all. In the standing position, even when I walk on the treadmill, the wobble is minimal, and I’m 6'1". In actual day-to-day work, it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a huge difference compared to my previous Tresanti Geller 47".
I also read some reviews saying the assembly process was challenging, but in my case it was pretty straightforward. Watching their YouTube video and following the manual made it simple. The whole assembly is done upside down, so it definitely helps to have someone assist with flipping the desk at the end, especially since this L-shaped desk is huge. I only asked my wife to help with that final stage, and it was totally manageable for the 2 of us.
I also had pretty big concerns about the bamboo top. I originally wanted rubberwood because it’s thicker and, at least in photos, looked a bit nicer to me. I was honestly skeptical about bamboo. But once the desk arrived, that concern disappeared. The bamboo desktop really surprised me in a good way. It looks and feels much better than I expected.
Overall, the quality of the whole desk is great, and I’m very satisfied with it. After 1 month of use, I can definitely recommend it.
