What can I do to improve my ribbing? The knit stitches are turning out with spaces in between each leg, and it’s looking sloppy. When I look at the other side of the fabric, the knit stitches look really neat. This is my first sock. Please help!
I applied for IBEW Local 124 in Kansas City on April 2nd, and haven’t hear back yet. My application says I’m ready to test. Should I call them and ask about the next steps? Or do I need to be more patient? I am absolutely green. No construction experience yet, but I’ve been wanting to be an electrician for a long time now and finally worked up the courage to apply. Is there something I could do to get the ball rolling?

Hey! I’m new to Reddit, but I’m happy I came across this page. Have any of you switched careers in your mid 30s? I was working as a chemist until I was laid off last June. The hunt for a job has really sucked, but I have been interested in the trades for a long time! I applied for an inside wireman apprenticeship with the IBEW, and also with the pipefitters. I’m just interested in hearing others experience, especially if you’re plus sized and coming from a somewhat sedentary lifestyle. Any encouragement or suggestions are appreciated!
