Relationship Falling Apart After Gender Affirming Surgery

I'm going through a tough situation and don't have anyone in my life I can ask for advice. It's either this or AI and I don't believe in using it.

So I'm a MTF and my boyfriend of 6 years has always known that I've wanted to transition and has always seemed supportive. He's bisexual so he always said it didn't make a difference to him. A few months ago received vaginoplasty and his treatment of me has noticibly changed. He has been making disparaging comments about my body and has even compared parts of me to those of an old grandmother's.

I've talked to him about whether he's upset and he is dismissive. I'm starting to think we'll never regain what we once had. He's the only person I really have in my life and without him I don't know what I will do. I'm beginning to think living as myself isn't a life worth living.

Failed? - Bar Survey Email Question

I'm freaking out a bit. My friends are telling me that the only people who got the survey email are those who failed. I'm one of a few who got the email and my smartest friends who were killing it during prep didn't get it. I'm just so surprised they would subtly inform you if you failed in this way. I'm on a bar trip right now and I'm starting to spiral. I don't even know if I'll make it home.

Do Bar Examiners Favor ABA Schools?

Hey guys,

So I’ve been wondering why ABA and non-ABA schools have such different bar pass rates, and I’ve come to the conclusion that the exam is, to some extent, gatekept in favor of students from ABA schools and higher-ranked institutions.

As someone who went to a non-accredited law school and was surrounded by some of the most brilliant people I’ve ever met, I have a hard time believing that T14 or even T50 students are so much smarter than everyone else that they pass at dramatically higher rates while most of us don’t. I’ve had professors from some of these prestigious schools, and my school basically taught us nothing but bar-tested material. That’s why it feels like something else may be contributing to the gap.

I also know there have been past controversies involving
bar exam questions being shared with law school deans. Given that history, it makes me wonder whether other factors (consciously or unconsciously) could influence grading or how applicants are evaluated based on where they went to school.

I’d genuinely love to hear what you guys think. Do you think the pass-rate gap is entirely explained by differences in admissions and student preparation, or do you think the process itself could be favoring certain schools?

Feeling Discouraged Despite Working Very Hard

Hi Everyone,

I have been working extremely hard ever since I started studying around a month ago. Today, after finishing my Barbri simulated exam, I realized that I have scored 29% in MBEs and also forgot many important rule statements for the essays.

Everyday, it feels like that this exam keeps beating me over and over again, and I just don’t know if I have it in me to continue anymore. I have been having thoughts to maybe not take the exam, or even end it since I’m maybe not cut out for this.

I would appreciate any help, in case I’m around.

Thanks
