Maybe someone has already gone over this, but has anyone else realized her breakup albums (Melodrama & Virgin) are both NYC-oriented while PH and SP are both NZ-oriented?

Both PH and SP express anxieties (Tennis Court, California) about the world beyond her home while she finds herself after a split in NYC. I realized this while listening to Writer in the Dark and the line "I ride the subway, read the signs/I love it here, since I stopped needing you" just hit.
