August 17th, 2039:

Category 8 Thanatos emerges from a Breach in Clayton. However, the Kaiju couldn't be tracked by radar, needing helicopters to spot the Kaiju for the Kaiju. The Mark 8 J8-33 and the Mark 9 Bastion Obliterator were deployed to handle the Kaiju. Thanatos would attack J8-33 from behind, the Jaeger would react fast enough and punch the Kaiju in the jaw. The Category 8 would then scratch the Jaeger's arm, before taking another punch to its jaw. The Pilots of J8-33 would call Bastion for back up. The Mark 8 would brace for a pounce, only of the Kaiju to scrtch the Jaegers legs with both right arms. The Kaiju then pushed the Mark 8 down and bite the conn-pod and crush it. Bastion would attack from behind and pull the Kaiju off J8-33. Bastion would hold the Kaiju down and shoot it in the head twice with one of its shotguns.

January 29th, 2040:

Paragon Ultra was deployed with Hunter Vertigo and Marauder Zeus in Meridian; however, Paragon would diverge as per orders from Marshall Rask to battle a Dengue. After landing, Marauder would go hunting for Kaiju. Thanatos would pounce onto the Mark 6's back, Marauder's pilots would slam the Kaiju into a building to shake it off. They would quickly arm their left gatling gun and fire them at the Kaiju, scaring it off. The Kaiju would attempt to attach from the side only to get uppercut, the Kaiju would narrowly escape as Marauder shot at it with both gatling guns. The fight wouldn't continue as Marauder detects an Acid Quil heading for Hunter Vertigo and would run to aid them.

Later on, Paragon had defeated Dengue and had found a broken down civilian bus. Paragon would get attacked by the Category 8 who disable the Jaeger's chest cannons with a swipe of it's claws and proceed to pin the Jaeger down. Thanatos would pin the Jaeger's left head down and try to bite the Mark 9's conn-pod. Paragon would prevent the Kaiju from doing so by putting it's forearm against the Kaiju's neck. Ares Valient was in the area and was told to stand down by Paragon's pilot, Asher Turner. Paragon's copilot, Logan would request Ares to grab the civilian bus and take it somewhere safe. Ares would disobey orders grab the Kaiju and pull it it off Paragon. The Kaiju would shake the Jaeger off, but Ares then quickly grabbed the Kaiju and lifted it up and slammed Kaiju's back into its knee, killing it. Paragon would grab the civilian bus, and Ares would escort the Jaeger to Sydney as The Black is initiated.

May 7th, 2045:

The Brisbane Base would detect small tremors using seismometers and low frequency rumbling through infrasound detectors, singling a Kaiju heading towards them. With no thermal signatures and the Kaiju not appearing on radar and estimate on weight and speed made through the seismometers and infrasound detectors, it was clear it was a Thanatos. With no way to accurately track the Kaiju, Sentries won't be able to accurately bombard it with mortars.

The Mark 7 Falx Livyatan was deployed to battle the Kaiju who'd pounce on the Jaeger. Livyatan then threw the Kaiju into a large rock formation and then charge into the Kaiju with its heavily armored shoulder. The Kaiju kicked the Jaeger backward and scratched the Jaeger's shoulder, not causing any significant damage. The Jaeger delivered a series of punches to the Kaiju's face, before grabbing the Kaiju's head and slammed its knee in the Kaiju's jaw. The Kaiju then use all six limbs to lunge forward and push the Jaeger down. Livyatan fired its Hydrogen Ion cannons in its chest to send the Kaiju backward, the Kaiju quickly got to its feet and slashed at Livyatan's chest with its tails and damaged the cannons. Thanatos pinned the Mark 9 down and aimed to bite the conn-pod. Livyatan caught the Kaiju's head and with its thumbs, gouged the Kaiju's eyes, the Kaiju roared in pain and backed away shaking its head. Thanatos pounced at Livyatan who reacted in time and moved aside, causing the Category 8 to go headfirst into a rock formation, leaving it disoriented. Livyatan would pin the Thanatos down with its right forearm on its neck, the Jaeger then armed its left arm's fusion cannon and burned the Kaiju's abdomen. The Kaiju blindly scratched in the air, causing minor damage to the hull but broke the windshield and kicked the Mark 7 away.

Thanatos then lunged at Livyatan again, the Mark 7 caught the jaw and then quickly put the Kaiju into a headlock. The Jaeger held the Kaiju's head with hand on the bottom jaw and the other on the top and then twisted Thanatos' head, breaking its neck, finally killing it.

History:

After 3 years of contested Annexation, the ULE became part of Vancouver in 2031. In 2033, the Shatterdome was built 2.5 Kilometers from the shore and was connected to the mainland by a bridge which would be heavily secured. The Shatterdome would build multiple Mark 6s such as December Paladin and Glacier Polemarch, and many more. The Dome operated a few foreign Jaegers as well, such as Gipsy Avenger before it was shipped to Moyulan and the Australian Mark 5, Steel Cyclone and even constructed three Mark 7 frames in 2034 which would ultimately be locked in storage till Saber Athena had finished testing.

In 2035, when the Kaiju Drones attacked, December Paladin and Glacier Polemarch were sent out after Steel Cyclone. Cyclone would struggle to fight the Drones, with one managing to rip off one of its storm racks and the other tore apart the Jaeger's abdomen and left shoulder. Paladin would rush in, grab a Drone, and the two would continue to wrestle while Cyclone held the other Drone. Glacier used its cryo cannons to freeze the head and crush it.

December Paladin would struggle with the other Drone before using both Hail cannons to damage the Drone's missile launchers in its shoulders. The Drone would slam its fists on the Mark 6's cannons, smashing the barrels on the Jaeger's shoulders. The Jaeger would grab the Drone from behind and attempt to subdue it for Cyclone or Glacier. However, the Drone would lunge backwards into the Shatterdome, causing the spikes on its back to impale the Jaeger and shut it down from damage to the power core, while another pierced the conn-pod and killed the pilots

Glacier would engage the Drone in a fist fight before they locked hands, and the Drone would attempt to push the Jaeger into the ocean. The Jaeger braced its legs and used its superior strength to push back. Cyclone would fire its chest cannons point-blank on the Drone's back, shredding the spikes off.

Another Drone from the ocean would turn toward the Shatterdome and fire its missiles at Glacier's back, giving the Drone Glacier was just fighting, the opportunity to ram its elbow into Cyclone, pushing the Mark 5 backwards. The Drone would charge at Cyclone and push it into the hanger and into another Jaeger, damaging both.

The constant missile bombardment had knocked Glacier Polemarch to its knees and hands, but the Jaeger would grab one of the broken Drone spikes and charge at the Drone, about to crush Cyclone's conn-pod with its foot. The Drone would turn and block the spike with its arm. The damaged spike broke on the armor, and the Drone shoved Glacier backwards and tore out its knee, causing the Mark 6 to fall. The pilots would eject just in time to avoid being crushed as the Drone stomped on the conn-pod.

Using whatever power they had left, the pilots of Cyclone would arm the remaining storm rack and fire three missiles at the Drone's back. The Mark 5, Spartan Equinox, had just deployed after the pilots had struggled to get to the Drive-suit room and back to the hanger. Despite its mediocre armor, the Mark 5 was able to outmatch the Drone, being just as fast but also stronger.

The Jaeger would block a left swipe, then punch the Drone in the abdomen, causing it to bend over. Spartan would then slam its elbow into the back of the Drone before giving it an uppercut. Driven by rage, the pilots would give the Kaiju a series of punches to its face before grabbing the head with Spartan's hands and crushing it. By the time Spartan had armed its Hunter Arrow rockets for the other Drones, Shao had shut them down.

After the Battle of Mega Tokyo, the PPDC would repair all damaged Jagers and new Mark 7s would be constructed. The Vancouver Shatterdome would build it's first three Mark 7 Jaegers, Sister units, Eagle Bravery, Osprey Gallant and Falcon Huntress.

When the Uprising War started, all 20 Jaegers in the Dome were sent to Australia.

In 2036 the Mark 5s, Mark 6s and Mark 7s were struggling to fight off the Kaiju evasion, the new Mark 8 program was too expensive and to time consuming, leading the PPDC to repair old veteran Jaegers. Mark 8s were just slapped together quickly and sent to fight. The Vancouver Shatterdome would repair Chrome Brutus and would make thirty-eight Mark 8s over the course of the war.

In 2038, a new pilot system and a new power core were under testing in the Vancouver Shatterdome. Once testing had completed, the blueprints had been sent to all Jaeger factories, and the Mark 9 Program had been greenlit.

By 2039, each country had ten Mark 9s with Australia making only 4. Canada, however, was still testing a new weapon, the AKE-20 rail gun, and would only make three Mark 9s, Apollo Intrepid, Aphrodite Elite and Ares Valiant. Apollo had two AKE-20s.

After the Uprising War ended in 2040, Apollo, Ares and Aphrodite would remain in Sydney.

America's Mark 9, Liberty Virtue and Mark 7 Juggernaut Surge would be stationed in Vancouver along side Chrome Brutus, Glacier Polemarch and December Paladin.

In 2043, the very expensive Mark 10 Program would be greenlit. The Vancouver Shatterdome had been assigned the task of making the first 6 Mark 10s.
