Need advice on the battery life of a recently bought used iPhone 15 pro

Hey y’all. So my Pixel 7 was basically falling apart and I opted to get a used iPhone 15 pro 4 days ago as I wasn’t willing to splurge on a current gen iPhone at this moment. I found one in natural titanium which is in mint condition, no scuffs or scratches on the body/screen and everything functioning perfectly with no repair history. (This is the only color I really like, plus the black and blue models had slight scuffs revealing the titanium color underneath. It was also the only used natural titanium model with no repair history available out of the 7 or 8 trustworthy suppliers I tried in my country)

Now the catch was the cycle count (863) and battery health (86%) on this particular device, however it was a good price and managed to knock the supplier down further after pointing this out, given I knew a battery replacement is likely around the corner and they were happy to do so. The first 2 days after restoring data and updating to iOS 27 were brutal, especially while indexing. The indexing is done now and it seems a bit better but I’ve also read that things may still be running in the back for the first week or two. Overall happy with the purchase but my main question is, should I use it as is (getting maybe 5hrs SOT on WiFi) and run this battery down before proceeding to replace or just pull the trigger on replacement now?
