My new Iphone 17 battery draining too fast

iPhone 17 Battery Drain — Is This Normal?

I bought my iPhone 17 on August 7, and I’m noticing pretty fast battery drain. Even overnight, the battery drops around 6–7% despite not using the phone.

From 80% to 20%, I’m getting only around 3.5 hours of Screen-On Time (SOT), which feels quite low for a new iPhone.

I contacted Apple Customer Support, and they told me this is normal during the first 2–3 weeks because background indexing is still running and the phone is optimizing and settling in. They said the battery performance should improve after that.

Has anyone else experienced this with a new iPhone 17? Did your battery life actually improve after a few weeks, or should I get the phone checked/replaced?

Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Replaced battery is worse than original one ?

I replaced my IP-13 battery on 17th December, 2025 but it is dropping way quicker than the orginal one, even though I got it replaced from a genuine Apple authorised service centre i.e Unicorn in Gurgaon but I dont know whats happening with it.. i follow all the battery ethics; 20-80 rule etc.

I m attaching both the screenshots the one with the new battery health drop and one with the original one.

Can someone tell me the reason or their views?

IPhone 15 98%to90%

My iPhone 15 dropped from 98 to 90% in around 1.5 to 2 months and its still decreasing. Being in the standard warranty I took it to apple and they said it’s normal after running a diagnostic. What should I do now, and is it normal?

Sudden battery drain on iPhone 17 (iOS 26.3) – 100% battery health

I want to know if anyone else is having a similar experience right now. For the past few days, my iPhone 17 (bought on May 11) has started losing battery really fast – it even drops 10-12% overnight while completely idle.

I didn't have any issues before this, and I used to charge my phone just once a day. My battery health is still at 100%, and I haven't updated iOS since I bought the phone, so I'm currently running iOS 26.3.

I have no idea what could be causing this or what to do next. Is anyone else experiencing this, and does anyone have a solution?

Does it really change something ?

I have my 17e for 1 week now and I charge it using low battery adapter (15w). I thought it would be better in order to save the battery life (not charging too fast for the chemical components).

However, a friend of mine told me I should use good quality chargers (so more powerful obviously) as it directly influence my battery.

What do you think ?

Advice needed

In just this last month my battery life has significantly declined on my iphone 14. It used to go days without needing to be charged. As of yesterday, it lasts about five minutes after being unplugged from the charger. I checked my battery health (68%) and saw ‘your battery’s health is significantly degraded… replace the battery to restore full performance’, can I just go to a nearby iphone store and have them replace it? Is it quick? Affordable? Sorry if these questions are dumb asking them here is way easier than trying to research things on my phone rn and I don’t have access to any other tech atm. Thanks!

iPhone battery health dropped from 100% to 96% in just 3 months — anyone else?

So my battery health sat at 100% for almost a year without moving. Then it started ticking down — first to 99%, and now it’s dropped to 96% in less than 3 months. That’s a much faster decline than the “flat for a year” pattern I was used to.

Nothing about my usage or charging habits has really changed. Has anyone else noticed a sudden acceleration in battery wear like this, especially after a long stretch at 100%? Curious if this is normal degradation catching up all at once, tied to a specific iOS update, or something worth getting checked out at an Apple Store.

Any insight appreciated!
