Upgrading Megane 4 speakers to JBL Stage3 627F — any tips or precautions?
Hey everyone,
I’m planning to upgrade my car’s front speakers to JBL Stage3 627F and will be using adapter rings + new wiring to fit them properly.
The car is Megane 4 Grandtour from 2019 with factory preset speakers (non Bose version)
This is my first time doing a speaker upgrade, so I wanted to ask for any advice before I start the install.
Plan:
Install Alubutyl 2mm
Add foam for the plastic panel.
Add speakers with use of an adapter ring and wires so that it makes it easier.
A few things I’m specifically curious about:
Any tips for getting a clean fit with adapter rings?
Do I need to worry about polarity or impedance issues with these speakers?
Is it possible to do on my own or have a friend help me out?
Any common mistakes to avoid during installation?
Would really appreciate any tips, tricks, or lessons learned from your own installs. 🙌
