Shipleys Do-nuts

Has anyone with a peanut allergy eaten at Shipleys before? I tried to email them this morning to see if they had any peanuts since they have walnuts and this was the semi unhelpful response.

Thank you for your interest in Shipley Do-Nuts! Our products may contain wheat, soy, milk, egg and walnuts. We do not have gluten free products available.

Thank you for your inquiry and we look forward to seeing you again!

Please let me know if you have any experience!

Cat Noises

Am I going schizo or do I hear a cat meowing in my right ear sometimes, I always think my cat is downstairs asking for food. It is super subtle and quiet, but I can hear it at random times.

Newly weds moving end of September

My fiancée and I (both 24) are looking for a house to rent around the end of September but we’re planning on checking out some available houses and areas in late July. We would love some recommendations on neighborhoods or areas to check out.

We’re looking for a place where we can meet other people our age, especially other couples, and have plenty of things to do nearby. We enjoy good restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, local events, outdoor activities, parks, and being some what close to nature. We definitely like to have fun and we’re not against going out or partying occasionally, but we’re not looking to live in an area that’s surrounded by college students or has a party scene every weekend. Think more along the lines of going out once or twice a month and having a good mix of fun and normal everyday life.

I work remotely, so commuting isn’t a huge factor for us. We’d love to find an area that has a good balance of affordability, things to do, and a sense of community without dealing with nonstop traffic or paying a premium just to be there.

Just trying to hone in some areas to look at with nice rentable housing prices that aren’t in terrible areas.

Newly weds looking to move from DFW

We have lived in DFW for a couple of years after graduation and have not loved the concrete jungle this city is. We have lived in Alabama and are comfortable and familiar with the south and see it as home. In saying that we’re not at all familiar with Tennessee let alone Nashville as much. We’re planning a trip out there last summer to see what kind of areas we would like. From scrolling through this thread I have gotten some good general knowledge on good locations to look at but obviously every situation is different.

Currently we’re making around 110k combined with 2 dogs and we’re renting a house which is a much better option that an apartment (especially with two dogs) I work remote but she will be looking for a social work job somewhere in local. This kind of lets us be free in which direction we want to go in my head at least. We’re looking for somewhere that’s nice and quiet but also can have a cool community to meet younger people without being in a loud college/party area. I have heard Franklin is nice but it’s expensive and mt Juliet but more family oriented. I know nothing about little pockets or anything really besides those two areas.

Also have seen some nice articles about Chattanooga being nice as well if anyone has extra input about that. As I mentioned earlier we kinda want to be close to the night life but we like to do fun things and our idea of fun is not being smashed in an expensive bar every single weekend. Would love to be in nature more with the dogs and hike.

If anyone has any recommendations that would be greatly appreciated!
