Semi new player in need of advice (operations)

Hello! I’ve been playing delta force on and off for a bit now trying to get into the game for some buddies of mine who play a lot and after putting some time in the game I unfortunately just can’t find an operator I click with or feel really comfortable with. I’m also having such a hard time when it comes to the gun fights in this game but that’s another issue for another day. Now hero shooters at a base aren’t new to me granted I’ve never been to good at them but I did enjoy them. Most that I played though were games like overwatch or marvel rivals. So obviously very different in its core. I was just wondering if you guys had any tips or maybe wanted to share your experience that made you decide what character you were gonna play?

Is it actually good?

I got my new pc and I'm thinking "what should i play on this first", i searched free category on steam and saw this "delta force" it's free and reviews are not bad at all

I'm writing this to ask you the reasons to get delta force, i never played it so i don't know where I'm getting into, how easy and realistic it is, what are the games mechanics, what game mods in it

Let me know guys

Peace on Hard Maps in times of enemy sweats

When one enters a Hard map, one expects to either get killed very fast or not be able to extract. Your heart beating 200 miles an hour trying to gauge the distance of an enemy team using the local mandelbrick to seek out players to kill just so you could avoid them. This doubles when you found a couple of reds and had just avoided a team that pulled extract extra early

Space City Hard, halfway through the time limit, I ended up in dorms via east gate keycard cause I wanted to check the treasure there. I froze inside a building when i heard player footsteps. Hid behind the stairs, a stinger comes down after my path and I throw a data knife and cover behind the stairs again, shotgun loaded. Neither of us apparently move too far as the stinger goes outside and I watch the door. The standoff lasts until i decide to fire a series of shots at the wall and use some voicelines. I hear a voiceline back.

Carefully I peer out the door. He has a knife out, leaning side by side. I get mine out and repeat the motion. I feel relief. He drops gold ammo parts as tribute but I don't take it, backpacks full see. We have peace as we loot what we can.

7 minutes on the timer, 45 seconds before the extract closes and we have to pull switches again. I see the Stinger trail behind me as we get to the bridge. I head one direction, he heads towards the other, understanding the assignment. I pull my switch immediately and begin to worry. He pulls his switch a moment later and I feel vindicated. Time to loot whatever leftovers the sweats had left behind.

1 minute till extract finishes. I worry again with a full pack. The guy's running late and might miss getting out. 15 seconds later I see him exit the building and know that this run was a great run. We both saluted at each other for the experience as we extracted safely with the goop.

One good reason to love this game

ABILITIES (my own made delta force character it isn't official)

Gen'ei — Operator Concept | Rei Kurosei

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on an original operator concept for Delta Force, and I wanted to share the full ability kit for Gen'ei

Real Name: Rei Kurosei

Codename: Gen'ei

The main idea behind Gen'ei is deception, misdirection and tactical repositioning rather than simply being a high damage operator.

Combat Flip

When Gen'ei takes damage, his Crouch button temporarily becomes a Combat Flip.

Pressing it makes him perform a quick sideways flip/dive, allowing him to break the enemy's aim and rapidly reposition.

The Combat Flip can be used once after taking damage. After activation, it enters a cooldown. Once the cooldown ends, Gen'ei must take damage again to trigger the ability.

Disruptor Knife

Gen'ei carries one Disruptor Knife in his kit.

The knife can only be obtained from a Resupply box or ammo creates and only one knife can be carried at a time.

The knife is designed for short-range use. If it hits an enemy, it temporarily disrupts their weapon, preventing them from using their gun for a brief period.

Disguise

Gen'ei can temporarily disguise himself as an enemy operator. But he won't be able to use guns at that time he can only use knife

The purpose is deception and infiltration rather than gaining additional combat power. Certain actions or taking damage can reveal the disguise.

Phantom Swarm — Ultimate

Gen'ei creates multiple phantom clones of himself.

The clones imitate Gen'ei's appearance and movement to create confusion and make it harder for enemies to identify the real operator.

To keep the clones balanced, each clone can fire only ONE bullet, dealing a maximum of 40 damage if direct it . After firing that single shot, the clone cannot shoot again.

The clones are primarily designed for misdirection and battlefield confusion, rather than being additional full-power teammates

I'm trying to keep Gen'ei's abilities powerful but still counterable and balanced.

I'd love to hear your thoughts:

Would Gen'ei fit into Delta Force?

Which ability would you change or balance differently?

And would you actually want to see an operator like this in the game?

Advice on how to play normal, gear, ammo, etc

I've been playing this game for about 11 months now and it is my first extraction shooter and I am kind of liking it (I thought arc raiders would be the same but after a while there was no incentive to play and get money). My transition to normal was extremely, absolutely fucking brutal and ngl II've almost cried a couple of times, but I survived and I only constantly play ZDN.
My issue is that at first i went in fully purple everything included, and mostly lost fights and was told it was my aim, I then started going in with the gear i have on now and the gold ammo makes a world's fuckign difference, but I feel like I've plateaued.

I have seen some posts here suggesting the DICH helmet and I am very surprised at that. This is my usual loadout, either that or a mid range K437 build for the gun but the rest is the same. Any advice on changes I can make to my loadout? and any advice on playing Vyron as well would be helpful(I usually play Nox), and playing AZ3 as well?

Zero Dam Easy experience

First, anyone can play whatever game mode how they want and how they choose. That said, I’m curious what people’s thoughts are regarding easy dam. I’m seeing constant top gears HUNDREDS of hours in season 10 alone, pinnacle players constantly. I’m hardly getting pure bot lobbies anymore. As a solo, I really enjoy hopping on and running some bot lobbies before pushing into more difficult content.

What is driving players back to easy dam? Is it layali on rotation? Something else? I’d figure more people would want to play AZ3.

Newish to delta force operations and I have a question

I’ve been enjoying operations as a new player and it’s been scratching that extraction genre itch but I’m curious, for those that have been playing for a long time what would you do differently if you had to start all over again.

Fuck this stupid game gosh, I hope it dies because people like this. I killed this first guy, went down and my teammates killed the other two but instead of getting me up they…continued below

healed up(I get) and then instead of getting me up they went down a floor and grabbed all three loot boxes brought and them up to me so I could watch them open them while I died then said said “goodnight sweet princess”. If you’re in here I hope the game dies after no one plays because of people like you
