AITA for trying to revert Earth back to how it was before climate change? (Video game)
I (12,000 M) was part of a group who, after it was clear that sea levels on Earth were rising exponentially, took a space shuttle out to beyond the solar system to hopefully preserve the biodiversity of our time. The ship had a malfunction while everyone was asleep, and crashed back onto Earth some 12,000 years into our journey. I was the sole survivor in this crash, and found out that Earth had been repopulated, but none of the surviving creatures were anything like I recognised.
After a little experimenting at an underground base made by a group similar to my own, I realised I could use certain materials to bring back some of the life that Earth had lost so many years ago! I decided to create a company that would make it easier to harvest some of the materials, as well as ensuring the creatures they came from wouldn't overpopulate and become a danger to major cities.
To bring back some of Earth's biodiversity, I also needed quite a bit of power and loyal troops to transport materials and power sources. So, for the greater good, I stole a major power source from a nearby city and mind controlled a few troops that were really just lazing about, since the last war ended over a century ago. Unfortunately this put me in an altercation with a small militia (21X), (100+ M), (24F), (24F) and (14X); the commander of the troops (100+M); as well as some thieves that just wandered into the underground base looking for treasure.
As I was setting up my plan, the militia and their scooby gang confronted me and stopped the plan alongside one of the creatures that could easily become a threat to their very cities. I was sent hurtling into space leaving a CAT to take over my company.
I don't understand why they would do such a thing, don't the species lost due to climate change deserve another chance?
