Should I watch JW4 at all?

I love the premise of JW1 and to me it was a matter of balance which gave me that warm feeling. I was on board with JW2, but already JW3 felt needlessly OTT with action.

But it isn't actually action which keeps me from watching JW4. >!It's the fact that he dies. !<I have the DVD right here and it still is unwatched. I bought it at least two years ago.

Somehow I wonder whether this would kill the entire franchise for me, especially JW1. The balance I talk about? His wife died, Daisy was killed, he avenged Daisy, he recollected his wife's memory, and he got himself another dog. To me there wasn't even a need for movie No2.

He righted the wrongs in JW1, he got even. >!If I have to watch him die, he will have lost. !<It will have been meaningless.

Is there anyone who understands this? What say you?
