How are AI Ratings Determined for Speedway Tracks?
In the track.ini, there are 6 different designated track types that determine the ratings AI drivers have in that particular race: Short track, mile oval, medium oval, long oval, super speedway, and road course.
(This is different than chassis type, which determines the actual engine/chassis configuration)
In each AI car file, they have ratings for only 4 types of tracks. These are: road course, short track, speedway, and superspeedway.
Road course, short track, and superspeedway all have counterparts, but that leaves three different "sub-types" of intermediate tracks that don't have a specific counterpart in the AI car file. How are mile ovals, medium ovals, and long ovals calculated? Just using the speedway rating? A combination between speedway ratings and short track/superspeedway ratings?
