Output formatting issue?
My PS5 has been doing this intermittently. No every time, but a few times per week. I can't recreate it. Occasionally it will fix on its own after turning it off and leaving it for a few hours, but not every time. The only reliable way to really fix it in the moment is to start in safe mode and restart, which is a pain.
Rest mode vs turn all the way off when we're done doesn't seem to make a difference. I tried switching out the HDMI and it is still happening. I haven't changed it's output or anything. The screen in the picture extends way below the actual screen. It definitely seems like playstation issue as the TV is working fine, and it still happens on different HDMI input ports.
PS5 is up to date.
