Relocating to Newcastle for work opportunities
So im 30, and currently live in forster, NSW and have applied for jobs in Newcastle, in mining and also at the newcastle sports stadium (McDonald Jones Stadium)
My mum thinks because i don’t live in Newcastle, that i shouldn’t apply for them! Bur my goal has been to move there as i have lived my whole life here in forster!
I’m ideally holding out for the mining job, but have an interview this Tuesday coming up at the stadium, and she’s annoyed i didn’t take a 40 hour plus job at a servo like wtf! Im looking to better myself not stay in causal dead end jobs that don’t even need a qualification, i want to be more important than that! There’s nothing here for me especially being trans, there is way more support and community in Newcastle and better job opportunities and study options as there are beauty related things i wish to study also, they just don’t understand, like yeah they make sense, but I’m not the first person to have done something like this, like i will likely have to find a share house close to the job i get/take for the mining job i have to be an hour from the site! I also need to learn how to drive a manual confidently!
I’m just trying to do what’s best for me! I hate it here, and i also feel like moving to newcastle would it make it so much easier to transition even further to where i want to be!
