Why Don’t I Hate Being a Teacher after my first semester (high school)?

Hey all! First semester as a teacher is about to wrap up and I’m so sad. I wish I could keep teaching longer before summer comes.

But everyone seems to think I should hate it? And I hear a lot of complaining? Of course, complaining is expected at any job and I do it too sometimes… but I find it to be “haha this was crazy” rather than actually hating it? Like “haha this girl just asked where the Berlin Wall is” or “I just had to explain to this child that doing nothing means you won’t get an A in this class.” Maybe I’m just good at laughing it off since I know my admin will be on my side if I abide by their expectations?

I don’t want to end up hating it. I want to succeed AND be happy and I’m scared.

Hello Demiheads and Lovatics! The mods decided that, due to increased traction, we needed tighter rules regarding sales and transactions. Effective immediately, here are the new rules that were just added:

- Sales of Demi-related products are welcome on r/demiheads.

- All payments MUST be made through PayPal Goods & Services. Your post/comment WILL be deleted if you do not specify this.

- To protect nervous buyers or sellers, anybody involved in a transaction can add u/CampRockruffVillager or u/araybian to the message thread. Both moderators will do their best to ensure a safe transaction.

- r/demiheads moderators are NOT responsible for any scams that may occur between subreddit members.

Thank you all for making this sub a safe space for Lovatics!
