GS-LAC Golden State’s last chance with Curry?

GS-LAC Golden State’s last chance with Curry?

Could Golden State replace an injured Jimmy Butler with Kawhi for one last run with Curry?

Kawhi played like a top 15 player this season, so if that carries over, that could certainly make Golden State a playoff team at the minimum.

Clippers net pick 11, and a prospect (Will Richard), for Kawhi as well as taking on an injured Jimmy for the first few months of the season. If Jimmy returns by Dec, they can still be competitive, in addition to being set for the future with two lottery picks.

Is this too much for Kawhi who can still be injury prone? Would the Clippers even want to take on Jimmy considering he’ll miss at LEAST the first 6 weeks of the season. He’s probably back by Jan at the latest though.

Pure Salary dump for Houston on an awful signing of DFS. Okoro isn’t great, but he’s certainly better than DFS and it gets them outta his long term money.

Chicago should be taking on bad contract for picks, and this would give them 4 more 2nd rounders (Mem and Sac’s picks are likely higher 2nd rounders), plus they get their own 2nd back this year at #39.

Chicago draft picks would then be at 19 before the draft. Does taking on DFS warrant even more picks? Maybe a pick swap too?

If Detroit does indeed lose to Orlando this week, I feel like a trade is inevitable. They still need some shooting and another ball handler. I wonder if Herro would be available for fairly cheap (late 1st rounder and 2nds).

Miami brings Duncan back who’s been a great role player this season, and gets some picks for Herro who seems like his time is up in Miami.

Thoughts? Should Detroit go for someone even better now that their window to win has officially opened? Could they put together a Giannis offer?
