Feature reversion request (plate calc’)

I definitely appreciate the new method the plate calculator uses to try to reduce the work of deloading/reloading plates between sets but for me personally I feel like this is a feature that sounds good on paper and sucks in practice. At least it does for me. I think it would be nice to have a choice between two different methods.

For instance I had barbell presses on my routine today. Love it. Start at just 75 lbs. for the warmup I think I had 55lbs so the barbell plus 5lbs on each side.

At 75 lbs, the plate calc calls for 1x10, 1x5 if I’m remembering correctly. Perfect

Next set, is 80 lbs, or 1x10, 1x5, 1x2.5

Next set is 85 lbs. the old plate calculator would have said 2X10. The new calculator says 1x10, 1x5, 2x2.5.

I mean…I get what it’s trying to do here but this is a very minor example of how it’s just kinda silly. I’m just gonna remove the smaller plates and go with two 10s. In this specific scenario I would have had to walk like 20 feet away to grab another pair of 2.5s and then I wold have had to return them to the machine I borrowed them from so it’s not really saving me any effort.

Again, I see how this would look really good on paper, but in practice sometimes it’s just weirdly redundant or just silly. I think for some people this might be hugely useful but in my case, I just think it makes the calculations look redundant and useless. So it would be awesome if I could just revert the plate calculator to the old calculation method. Like, if there could be a choice between the two, I think that would be great.
