Help/advice for gentle sleep training.
My LO is almost 7 months old and had co-slept with me since he was a few weeks old. We are working on getting him to sleep in his crib but its been a stuggle. He sleeps pretty well at night and isn't up often to feed while co-sleeping and ive been working on getting him down in his crib for naps during the day (when we are home). The naps are slowly getting there as he only seems to nap about 30-45 minutes at a time which works for all of us. We are struggling with getting him in his crib at night. I personally csn not do CIO as it hurts my mama heart to much 😞.
We have had the same bed time routine since birth. Every night we wind down and ill take him in our bedroom change him do his night cream and put his pj's on. He has his bath nights and its pretty much the same thing small bath in to our bedroom cream and a diaper plus pjs. My husband normally tries to feed him a bottle while I go do what I need to do before bed then I come in and finish breastfeeding him and get him down.
We have his crib on my side of the bed and most nights I csn get him down in the crib and he'll sleep about 30-45 minute to maybe an hour before he wakes up and cries....ive tried to comfort him in the crib rubbing him quietly telling him hes okay I love him but I always have to pick him up and most of the time offer him a boob again till he falls asleep.
Im not overly worried about it but looking for tips and advice of things I can to to get him down longer in his crib. We are not ready to move him to his own room yet as I feel its to far across the house right now especially when he still has a night feed or two.
