How to develop stars
So I’m washed up but used to be a huge chel guy. I got ‘26 and I just can’t seem to develop anyone past maybe a 92, meanwhile players getting picked later in the same drafts are blowing past that mark even with lower potential at draft. I try to play guys at their recommended level (minor, 3rd line scorer, 1st line fwd etc) or just above it. I’ve tried pairing young players with vets (bruisers or offensive savants) to help them. I’ve tried giving them power play minutes to get more ice time. I truly don’t understand what I’m doing wrong or if it’s just bad luck on like 5 straight franchises. Rather than focusing on what I’m doing can I get some idea of what people do in their franchises that has worked to develop top tier talent? Is it player types, line scheme fit, coaches, too many good players/scorers, I really don’t know but I just want one guy to pop and be like a 96 and consistently get a lot of points.
