Prep for PICU residency?

Hey everyone!

I got a job in a PICU residency in my dream city and I’m over the moon about it! I had the opportunity to do a PICU rotation during nursing school, and I just graduated a week ago. My preceptors gave me a lot of confidence and wrote me incredible LOCs, but now that I’ve accepted this position, I’ve had some doubt and anxiety surface.

I don’t start until August, so I have about two and a half months between graduation and my start date. I already took my NCLEX, so now I truly have nothing to “study”. However, I want to excel in this new position and be the best possible RN resident, so does anyone recommend any resources or anything for me to do before I start? I will be taking a month long vacation, so I will have plenty of time to relax, but I’ll still have 6 weeks between that and my start date.

Thank you everyone :)
