Hi! A friend and I are doing a road trip along the Oregon Coast to Washington soon. We are planning on sleeping in our car most nights. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to go about finding safe places to park and sleep overnight?
And any suggestions for places to park and sleep near or north of Cannon Beach?

I am considering doing the Esalen Work Scholar Program. It's a 3-month long program, where a small group of people work on the property and have access to the amenities.
I have seen mixed reviews about Esalen and want to make sure it is something I actually want to commit to, since I will be there for 3 months. I know it is more of a hippie vibe, but will I be uncomfortable as a young woman travelling here alone?
I would love to hear thoughts from those who have been before/know anyone that participated as a work scholar.
