Collected Over Coordinated

I've been gravitating more toward mixed metals, softened finishes, and jewelry that shows wear instead of resisting it.

I like when pieces develop surface history over time — oxidized silver, mellowed gold, irregular pearls, small scratches, softened shine. The patina makes the jewelry feel more personal and integrated rather than overly polished or pristine.

I tried to balance organic forms with heavier metallic elements here so the stack still feels cohesive without becoming too matched.

My goal is cohesion not coordination.

I found this antique gold chain at a thrift store today and went down the rabbit hole researching. From what I can find so far Elihu Bliss worked in Newark as a jeweler from 1840-1880. I love the details on this beautiful chain. If anyone knows more or can find anything about the mark A.P.C. please let me know! This one has been fun!
