I was just wondering if anyone know if we get full payment on our first pay day. Say you start the STP on the 1st of September and the pay day for September(I believe) is the 25th. Would we get around 4 weeks worth of pay?
I am guessing I wanna know if anyone know what the cut of day is.
Can anyone help me out what exactly the salary is through the 3 yrs. I am planning to move to Manchester and want to see what I can realistically rent.

I am a German Muslim man (with African roots) who moved to the UK. I am 23yrs old wanting to marry a woman I’ll call M who is 24.
Just as background info my family and M’s family have known each other when I lived in Germany and had a good relationship as to my knowledge.
M lives in Germany and M and I have a serious intention to marry and I am confident she is the right person for me. She has had a difficult upbringing, particularly with her stepmother, but has shown strength and resilience throughout.
Why my mom is against it:
The opposition is not really about M as a person. It is rooted in old family conflict. My father passed away and my mom had a serious dispute with M’s father over the inheritance and handling of my father’s business, feeling he interfered inappropriately. There is also history where M’s father apparently had interest in marrying my mom before my now stepfather came into the picture. My stepfather is also aware of this history and dislikes M’s father for his own reasons.
My mom knew M as a young child but hasn’t spoken to her for the last 8. Despite this she claims to know M’s character better than I do.
The concrete reasons they give against M are:
• She didn’t call my mom “auntie”
• She briefly spoke over my mom on a phone call when I tried to connect the two
• M doesn’t get along with her stepmother who happens to be my mom’s close friend
How it has escalated:
What started as verbal opposition has escalated significantly:
• My mom threatened to disown me and cut me off from my siblings
• My stepfather physically assaulted me grabbing my hair and threatening to kill me
• My mom travelled to Guinea and visited a fortune teller bringing back unknown substances I have been pressured to drink and wash with daily for 25 days
• A video call was arranged for me from my mom with someone performing wudoo on me and him claiming M’s family had cursed me and he has seen it in his vision as he pulled a chicken leg from a pot (I know this sounds crazy)
• I also just found out that My mom blocked M’s father when he tried to make contact about the marriage but before criticised him for not reaching out and telling me that he is not serious because he would have contacted her (but obviously how could he if my mom blocked him)
Where I stand:
I have spoken to a sheikh who confirmed I have the Islamic right to proceed. I do not want to cut family ties and am keeping my door open. I love my mom and do not want to hurt her but I believe her opposition is rooted in her own unresolved pain with M’s father rather than any genuine concern about M herself.
I am planning to move out soon and build my independence before proceeding with the marriage.
Has anyone navigated something similar? How did you handle parental opposition rooted in family conflict rather than genuine concerns about your partner? Did your family eventually come around?
This might be the last chance to let our feelings out and communicate as a community before things go silent for another year so I was interested in how everyone is feeling about getting the results tomorrow and what your hopes are maybe after the STP.
