Missed an interview, is there a chance I hear back?

Kind of panicking right now so thought I would get some outside thoughts and opinions while I wait to hopefully hear back. I applied for a retail job in a field I have extensive knowledge and experience in. I’ve been working in this field for about six to seven years now and it shows on my resume. When I applied, I was contacted relatively quickly and we set up a date to meet on Oct 2 at 11. This is where everything went sideways. For some reason, I accidentally put it on my calendar for Oct 3 at 11. Not for some reason actually, I had a hundred different things going on that week and most likely mixed up the date while putting it on my calendar with everything. I didn’t even realize until I showed up on Oct 3 with a copy of my resume in hand and apologizing as I was now five minutes late for trying to look for parking. Unfortunately, Oct 3 was a Saturday and this is a retail job so it was relatively busy and she didn’t even let me get a proper apology out or introduction out before telling me I was supposed to be there yesterday and saying she’ll reach out Monday before sending me away. Up until this point, I genuinely had not realized I had entered the wrong date in my calendar and immediately felt so guilty and upset about the situation for everyone involved. She had previously said that she doesn’t look at or answer emails over the weekend so I didn’t reach out immediately but Monday afternoon, I sent a thorough yet professional follow up apology expressing my sincerest apologies, because I genuinely did feel guilty for any time wasted, and my interest in the job and hope to reschedule if she would be willing while admitting that I had overlooked the date as I was putting the interview in my calendar. This email was sent Monday around 3:30 after I figured I wouldn’t hear from her and maybe she got busy but now it’s Tuesday and I still haven’t heard anything and I’m wondering if I completely blew an opportunity I genuinely was looking forward to with my own stupidity or if there might be a small chance for me? This is a retail job to keep me busy and give me an income while I look for a career relevant to what I went to school for or any civil service tests I have taken so it wasn’t a formal suit and tie interview but it was an agreement that I messed up so I’m wondering if the one email was enough or if I should give it another couple days before reaching out again with a follow up email again or phone call. I’ve never done something like this so I’m really out of my depth and upset and panicking about the whole situation. Sorry for the rambling and thank you for any input or feedback you may have. And thank you for reading this far as well.

Fitness Suggestions

Hi everyone, I’m not really sure how to start this so I’ll get right to it. I’m currently processing and on track for this upcoming July academy. I really want to be an officer and do well/graduate and have been more serious about my eating and exercise habits in order to do this. Unfortunately, and I hate to say this but I haven’t really done much since high school so I’m pretty out of shape, but have made significant progress since I started taking all of this more seriously and lost a lot of weight already and have put a lot more time into running and the gym. However, my running is still slow (not as slow as it was but still not going to fly in the academy) and still struggle just doing pushups. The reason I’m coming here is because I definitely still feel I am underprepared for the physical aspect of the academy and wanted to know if any of you have any beginner exercises or routines that I should be focusing on to get better prepared and actually improve my fitness as I feel that regardless of all the time I spend working, I still don’t see much of an improvement in my performance and wonder if I’m just focusing on the wrong things or going about this wrong. I appreciate any suggestions and help, I’ve just run out of resources and others to ask and thought someone on here might have a better idea, especially those of you who might currently be going through the academy and have a better idea of what to expect. Thank you for your help in advance and for reading all this and I apologize for the long rambling post.
