What’s a realistic timeline in the scenario I apply in September and take the October exam, and medicals, interviews, everything goes smoothly?

Would a December academy be out of the question?

For the summer uniform where officers wear the outer carrier, do they get to decide whether they wear that or wear the regular uniform shirt over their vest? Or do all officers wear the outer carrier

I took my Psychat the end of May. Afterward, I was asked to submit my college transcript, which I provided as requested. Since then, I haven’t received any specific updates about the outcome. So far, the only update I’ve received is that my case is in review. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? It’s been over three months. Is this kind of wait time normal?

If I graduate the police academy in California, is there a way to lateral into NYPD, or is there a lateral Academy option?

Anyone in queens south preferably 102 113 or 116 wants to do a mural for a B house in BK north? I live in the 114 right now and commuting to BK takes me 25 minutes only with traffic however I’m moving to Suffolk really soon. HMU if seriously interested. (I already know most queens commands won’t switch to BK north 😂just feeling it out for the rare possibility someone needs the BK north commute)

I started to take therapy for anger management, will this look bad during the hiring process of NYPD (any other law enforcement agencies)

If so, how? I’m only taking it for emotional intelligence and regulation.

I keep failing the hearing test of the medical, also failed it at an audiologist. Going to retake another test with hearing aids on this week to see if they can adjust my hearing aid and pass. My supervisor told me not to worry about it and just simply said to worry about completing the questionnaire in the portal as people tend to pass the medical regardless…what should I do? Am I screwed for this job? He’s trying to get me in for the September class.

I did my psychback in April and is in review until I do my background check and also I will meet with my investigator in 27th this month does anyone know if it's a good sign or not and if there is chance to make it into September class ?!

I just received mail which I responded to about doing the initial medical… it says people that do their medical in the dates provided. (friday 14 august) are likely to be able to join sept academy class. How true is this?

I’m a Cade|t right now and I’m wondering if anybody can explain to me promotional and open competitive exams a bit better and how they can work in my favour.

And if anybody ever went though those routes what’s the best way to play them for a smooth easy and fast transition to ppo

I took the exam on the July 10th it has been a month now. I read that some received their score in a few days after taking the exam. I haven't received anything yet and i check the Ny exam login webpage and still no update on my scores.

Anyone has experienced the same?
