Has Diet Soda Helped or Hurt Your Weight Loss?
I’m curious what everyone’s opinion is on diet soda during weight loss. Do you drink it regularly, avoid it completely, or think it hurts progress in some way?
Personally, I drink about two 44 oz diet sodas a day, and honestly it helps me a lot with cravings and snacking. Diet Coke is my saving grace. Since it’s 0 calories, I’ve always looked at it as something that shouldn’t directly impact weight loss as long as I stay in a calorie deficit.
At the same time, I know some people think artificial sweeteners can increase cravings, slow progress, or make it harder to lose weight overall.
What’s been your experience with diet soda while trying to lose weight? Has it helped, hurt, or made no difference for you?
