Dynamic soft default on a between slicer
Hi,
Is there a way to set a dynamic default position on a "Between" slicer without hard-capping the upper limit?
My Goal: I want a Week Number slicer (1-53) to dynamically default to the current week of this year (e.g., Week 19) on load for an instant YTD comparison. However, users still need the ability to drag the right slider handle past 19 all the way to 53 to view the full previous year.
Why the usual fixes don't work:
Visual Filters: Creates a "hard wall." Users can't drag past 19.
Bookmarks: Static. I'd have to manually update the bookmark every week.
DAX Toggles: Changes the underlying measure perfectly, but stakeholders specifically want the physical slider UI to default to Week 19.
Are there any custom visuals or obscure native hacks to achieve this?
